This session covers the important biological aspects that must be considered in dento-alveolar reconstructive surgery. It will address the diagnosis of the surgical bed, its classification, the selection of the biomaterial to be used, and the surgical technique.

Understand the biological mechanisms involved in reconstructing the surgical bed.
Identify the characteristics and precise indications of the biomaterials used in reconstruction.
Use specific techniques for each biomaterial to achieve maximum performance.
Apply these biomaterials in common clinical situations, such as alveolar preservation, width and vertical reconstruction, rehabilitation of aesthetic unitary spaces, and maxillary sinus elevation.
Monitor and evaluate the results of clinical cases over time.

Dr. Francisco Marchesani

Dr. Marchesani received his Bachelor of Dentistry from the University of Concepción in 1986. He is a specialist in Bucomáxillofacial Implantology. He developed a special interest in reconstruction in cases with severe atrophies and participated in this area in the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery at The Ohio State University and the University of Fryburg, Germany 1996, Dexeus Institute 1998, Institute of Facial Surgery, Parma Italy 2013.

Dr. Marchesani is a former associate professor at the Universidad de Concepción School of Dentistry. He was also Director of the Implantology Area of the same school. Dr. Marchesani is the Director of the Advanced Implantology Improvement Course taught in Santiago de Chile since 2010.Founder and director of the education program of Clinica Marchesani.
