Learning how to practically perform up-to-date surgical techniques for passive flap advancement and resorbable biomaterials stabilization
Learning how to practically perform horizontal bone augmentation and socket preservation with such resorbable scaffolds in different clinical conditions
Cells, signaling molecules and scaffolds are basic elements of the regenerative process, with possible addition of barrier devices. Any scaffold or barrier surgically added to the natural process of tissue regeneration should be long lasting and totally resorbable, however most of the biomaterials currently used are non resorbable, at least partially, and are therefore less suitable for maintaining a space-making effect for quite a long time.
Resorbable, long-lasting and natural regenerative biomateriale effect both the clinician and the patient – providing the clinician with products that enable optimal outcomes, faster recovery and significantly reduce the need for a repeated procedure. This effects the patient as well as it shortens length of treatment and these products’ higher biocompatibility influences recovery rates and improves biological responses.
During the workshop, Dr. Abundo will present succesful procedures used with innovative ossifying, space-keeping, totally resorbable biomaterials, showing exceptional results that cannot be argued with and the potential of this extraordinary clinical approach in bone augmentation procedures.
